Welcome to the Presentation of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The growth in production of ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as castings in China is particularly impressive. Trade fairs as market places reflect and stimulate the economic situation of the sectors in question. This is to be seen in the development of Metal & Metallurgy China since the early nineties which has become the leading exhibition of its kind not only in China but in Asia.
The friendly relationship between Germany and People's Republic of China has a long tradition. This contains personal as well as business relationships.
The German manufacturers of steel works and rolling mill technology, smelting plant technology, foundry machines and thermal process equipment deliver equipment to numerous buyer industries (iron, steel and NF metal industry, automobile industry, foundries, mechanical engineering, etc) of the People's Republic of China. These groups of manufacturers - known world-wide as competent and reliable trading and co-operation partners - have established themselves successfully in the process of globalisation. This has been taking place for a number of years and has proved their competitive strength. The companies in these industries offer all kinds of components and individual machines as well as complete turn-key solutions incl. sophisticated electronics and automation systems. These industries generate in 2009 world-wide export sales of EUR 3.230 million.
From the German capital goods manufacturers' point of view the People's Republic of China is one of the major markets world-wide. As far as metallurgical equipment is concerned the leading position of Germany in providing and supplying machines, equipment, plants and technology to People's Republic of China's enterprises remains unchallenged. Germany is with an export volume of EUR 654 million in 2009 the leading supplier in this sector to People's Republic of China.
Within the scope of official German participation, a total of 33 German companies will take part in the Metal & Metallurgy China 2010, presenting their latest technical developments to the Chinese specialists. The large number of participating companies underlines the importance of the Chinese market to the German capital goods industry.
On behalf of all German exhibitors, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), the Association of German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) cordially invite you to visit the Official German Presentation at METAL & METALLURGY CHINA 2010.
